The Mud Hog® Advantage
- Easy to Operate - Easily accessible dump controls from the front and back of the unit. Outriggers and pins for versatile height adjustment.
- Easy To Set up - Self-contained unit available in gas or electric powered. Simply extend legs and outriggers to insure a stable footing and start the engine.
- Highly Productive - The Mud Hog was designed to cut through & mix thoroughly mortar, grout and concrete. Large capacity allows larger batches to be mixed preventing your crews from the down-time of waiting on another batch to mix.
- Easily Maneuvered - Forklift pockets accessible from front, back and either side makes the Mud Hog a portable batch plant that can be moved in and reset in a matter of minutes. Unit compacts to fit in a standard 8 foot truck bed.
- Built-In Safeguards - Mud Hog comes with a heavy duty mixing grate, outriggers and individually adjustable leg extensions to prevent tipping. Theft is practically impossible because this is a non-towable unit (no wheels to work around).
- Ergonomic Design - Reduces potential for back strains and injuries. Mixing station was designed to reduce fatigue and the labor exertion of lifting bags of mortar or shoveling sand at chest height that accompanies traditional mixers.
- Easy To Clean - With the dump design, your laborer can stand up when cleaning the mixing drum. The Mud Hog lifts and rotates so the drum is turned almost upside down at the laborer's standing height. The grate is one piece so when lifted is completely out of the way.
- Durable - Drum is made of 5/16' plate steel and ends of the drum out of 3/8' plate steel. This can't even dent with a sledgehammer. The rubber blades on the paddles are made of expensive material similar to what is used to make car tires.
- Economical - Your laborer can mix up to 6-7 bags of mortar or enough grout to fill a Grout Hog in one batch. This will save you extra trips to the mixer with your forklift.
- Return on Investment - Since your laborer will only be lifting bags of mortar and shoveling sand at waist level, he can quickly and easily mix more mortar in a day's time. Downtime waiting on another batch could be a thing of the past with the power of this machine.
- Load and Dump Height - Adjustable outriggers and leg extensions provide unique capability to load materials at waist level and dumps one inch higher than load height.
